Photographic Portfolio

Photography has long been a personal love: I took lots of 'chemical' photography courses in college, and truly loved working in the darkroom. In the post-collegiate years, developing film was an expensive luxury that fell by the wayside except for special occasions. Then the digital camera revolution arrived. Whoohoo! Once the high financial barrier to entry was overcome, shooting pictures became essentially free.

I still have fond memories of my first digital camera, a Fuji FinePix 4900. I shot all my travelogues with it, and my wife still uses it to shoot reference pictures at work.

With the purchase of professional Canon SLR gear and lots of diligent practice, I can now, with great excitement and passion, claim that photography is my newest marketable professional skill. In fact, my pulse races at the prospect of including this category on my site for the first time.

The majority of my experience is with real estate, and my specialty is an interesting intersection of several factors. I shoot 360-degree panoramas from the top of construction cranes. This requires an understanding of the digital photographic process so all the images have the same color cast and exposure, the Photoshop skill to stitch them together in a seamless manner, and the nerve to climb to the top and not shake like a leaf. The results are pretty cool.

As with other portolio pages, this category is broken down into easily manageable bits.
