This is what I consider the archetype for my reality-bending photo-realistic style.

I worked with the art director from the inception of this project and advised how to get the look they wanted. A can of Zippo lighter fluid in hand, we torched several sheets of paper in the photographer's studio.

I patched together the resulting images, color balancing each one individually in order to create a believably-curled burning edge. There are literally hundreds of images that compose the burning sky, and additional hundreds of images in the collage. This work was done on a Quadra 800 running at a whopping 36mhz and took 3 weeks to produce.
