This is my last panorama from Washington DC before moving to California. I always tried to make time to visit the Cherry Blossom Festival: it is, in my opinion, one of the top five quintessential DC things to do. (However, for strictly cherry blossoms and no fanfare, the place to go is a small neighborhood called Kentwood in Bethesda, Maryland.)
This full 360-degree panorama was shot from the steps of the Jefferson Memorial overlooking the Tidal Basin. This image was particularly technically challenging due to the people. They can be relied upon to move around while you're shooting, complicating the stitching.
A personal work, this image is whopping 22' 6" long x 17" high at 200 dpi! Prints are available for sale. Please contact me for pricing.
